Details
Designed in 1989, the first year of the Heisei era, by the 6th-generation OITOMI craftsman, this kettle remains one of the brand’s most iconic and enduring pieces. The classic Arare (hailstone) pattern and graceful round form embody the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of traditional Nambu Tekki ironware.
This kettle is finished without enamel coating, featuring a natural oxidized surface created through kamayaki (kiln-firing). This traditional method forms a gray interior surface – a sign of authentic craftsmanship - and allows gentle iron supplementation when used to boil water.
